What type of general awareness questions were asked at LPU for an MBA online interview?

The interviews are the most critical part of selection criteria at Mittal School of business at LPU. The interview parameters are: Communication Skills: Fluency in speech Grammar Capacity to elaborate and articulate. Clarity of thought Career orientation. Aspirations and Aim: Clarity of goals Confidence Leadership and initiative. General awareness General knowledge Current affairs It is amply clear that interview sees the overall suitability of a student for the rigors of the programme. The highly qualified, talented and acclaimed faculty form the interview panel so there are no preset questions. The interviews can go spontaneously. Key Suggestions to clear the interviews: Be real: do not pretend to be someone highly smart or intelligent, the interviewer has good experience in recognizing the over smart or bluffs. Be formal and prepared with your core subjects: This will give you confidence in interview, even if the questions pertaining to your syllabi are not asked. Remain to the point: Your explanations to any point must be brief but elaborate enough to display your intellect. Cross question: Your inquisitiveness on some points may impress the interviewer. MBA interviews are conducted online in which you can participate after clearing LPU NEST or any national level test like CAT MAT CMAT etc. Once your LPU NEST result is out on the portal, dates to appear in interview will be visible. You can select the date and time slot as per your liking. Make sure you have a proper working Laptop or Desktop with Web cam with stable internet connection. LPU MBA interviews are structured to evaluate the candidate on the following parameters: 1: communication skills 2: Career orientation, Aspirations and goals 3: General awareness It generally composed of two rounds and two teachers who ask you question to mark you on the above given parameters. Some of the common MBA interview questions are: For First round:Introduce your selfWhy do you want to do MBA? What are your hobbiesWhat are your strength and weaknessesWho is your source of your inspiration And could have some situation based questions also like:You have planned a trip for 5 friends and budget out the expenses required to execute the planAnd what if at the last moment one the friend back out. With your core subjects, be formal and prepared: Even if no questions about your syllabi are asked, this will give you confidence in the interview. Keep it simple: Your explanations for any topic should be brief yet detailed enough to demonstrate your intelligence. Smile: Maintain a positive attitude at all times; some sharp/weird/tough questions may be given to test your temperament.

Hi, Let me share with you interview competencies that are tested as part of MBA interviews in LPU. The various parameters includes Fluency, Grammatical errors, elaboration of the concept, Clarity in thought process, Confidence, General Awareness, and leadership quality. In LPU when you sit for an MBA interview there are 2 panelists one from the core domain and the other from soft skills to assess you on speaking skills. Both the panelists will be rating you on the competency and a score will be generated. On the basis of the cut-off score only you will be considered as qualified or not. Hence, whatever is the specialisation that you are wishing to opt for the faculty of the core domain will be checking you on that and keeping in mind the above competencies stated. And Yes, you will be checked about the General Awareness so you need to keep yourself up to date. You will be asked questions related to your graduation degree and what made you go for MBA as well. So, kindly prepare the justification for that. So, all the best. Stay confident and answer the questions logically keeping the above-stated factors in mind. As what questions will come your way depend upon the panelists but the factors on which you are going to be tested remain the same. Some common guidelines for appearing for Interview. 1.
