What type of questions are asked for B.Sc in forensic science?

The Forensic Science domain promises to create a research and placement oriented environment. The department regularly works on student research projects with novel ideas of applied value. The following are the questions which are asked : What is DNA? How can DNA be used to identify a person? Why is DNA different from a fingerprint? What is a DNA sample? What is a forensic DNA profile? Can my DNA identify my relatives? What can my DNA say about me? When can the police take my DNA? In forensic Science are related to English Language, Inorganic Chemistry Basic Physics Environmental Studies, Introduction to Forensic Science & Criminalities, Law for Forensic Scientists, etc. My cousin did this programme at LPU and now doing a government job in the forensic department. B.Sc. Forensic Sciences involves the application of scientific knowledge in the investigation of crimes. The knowledge of Science is applied to analyze the evidence found at a crime scene. An analysis could involve anything from an object at the crime scene, to soil, blood stains, saliva, body fluids, bones, fingerprints, DNA profiling, recovering data from computers, researching new techniques/ technology, etc. The admission for B.Sc. Forensic Science takes place mainly through Entrance Exams like JET LPU NEST or SUAT. Scoring good marks in these Entrance Exams is important in securing a good college for B.Sc. Forensic Science. Students must have Science subjects like Physics Chemistry or Biology in class 12 in order to study B.Sc. Forensic Science. Admission in most of Forensic Science colleges will be on a merit-based selection system. Through the merit-based system, a candidate can get direct admission to the programme depending on their 10+2 percentage and the cut-off prescribed by the institution. The application for admission will be available both on the colleges' website as well as through their Admission Office. Some institutions, although may require the students to clear an entrance exam conducted by them.
