When can I apply for NET exam? I am currently in the 1st-sem of M.Com and my 2nd-sem will begin in March or April.

    Hello, The UGC NET exam is conducted for the assistant professor and the junior research fellowship from the national institutes and universities.
    The NET exam is conducted twice a year and the notification for UGC NET 2018 is already out. The application form could be out from 1 march for the exam. You must be prepared and keep checking the official website for the latest notifications.
    The Eligibility for the NET exam is post graduation degree.
    As you are currently in 1st semester you can not apply for the exam.
    Age limit: There are no age limit for the assistant professor post. While candidates must be below 30 years for the JRF post.

    Hello,
    For appearing in the NET Exam, it is necessary for a candidate to qualify his post-graduation with 55% of marks (50% for other categories). As you said you are in your 1st year of M.Com. So, do not worry because you can start your preparation from now. You can follow the below link:

    But, you can fill the form when you are in your final year of M.Com and your result is still awaited, but you will be eligible after having passed a Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degree.

    Hi,
    Qualification:
    Candidates should have a minimum of 55% in their PG or an equivalent from any recognized university. UGC NET offers an exemption to candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ ST/SC categories for up to 50%. NTA permits students in the final year of the course to apply for the exam. However, candidates will be disqualified if they fail to secure the marks as indicated by the Board. In final year you can apply for NET exam. Thanks.

No. candidate can not submit the UGC NET application form offline. It was released on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The application form was released online on October 7. All the process of the online form including the registration, document upload, fee payment, confirmation, etc. must be completed online by visiting the official website.

The NTA released the UGC NETadmit card 2025 for the December session exam. It was released on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The admit card is a mandatory document thata needs to be carried at the examination centre by the candidate.

The UGC NET December session exam was over on January 7. As per the students' feedback UGC NET January 2 Paper 1 was Moderate some felt that Assertion & Reasoning part was a bit difficult. Paper 1 was lengthy.
