When can I give CDS exam? What is the qualification required?

Hello dear, The Combined Defence Services CDS is the examination for recruitment into Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy (OTA ), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Indian Air Force Academy. (IAF) To prepare for CDS exam requires deep and complete knowledge of syllabus.

CDS 2018 Exam Dates:- CDS Exams are conducted twice a year I. e. in the month of February and November and the notification for the exam is usually released in the months of October and June respectively. Eligibility for CDS 2018:- Nationality:- A candidate must either be a) A citizen of India b) A subject of Bhutan c) A subject of Nepal d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 01, 1962 with the of permanently settling in India' e) A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Age Limit, Gender and Marital Status:- Indian Maritime Academy (IMA) :- Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years are eligible to apply. Indian Naval Academy (INA):- Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply. Indian Airforce Academy (IAA):-Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply. For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men):- Unmarried/Married Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply. For Officers Training Academy [ SSC Course for Women (Non-Technical)]:- Umarried/Issueless Widows/Issuless Divorcees aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply. Please note that the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/ Higher Secondary School Passing Certificate will be concerned as final. Educational Qualification:- For IMA and Officer's Training Academy:- Degree from a recognised university or equivalent. For Indian Naval Academy :- Engineering Degree from a recognised university or institution. For AirForce Academy:- Degree from a recognised university (with Physics and Chemistry as subjects in 10+2) or Bachelor of Engineering. Students studying in the final year of degree course and are yet to pass the final degree examination are eligible to apply for CDS 2015. However they are required to submit the proof of passing degree examination to the respective headquarters of the service which they intend to apply for. Regards.
