When to join an institute for CAT and MAT preparation?

You can follow these steps
1. Check the syllabus for CAT & MAT
2. Take a mock/ sample test to evaluate your readiness of the concepts.
3. Revise and practice the difficult concepts daily.
4. Take coaching in the final year to work on your speed time skills.
5. Take the test and shine.

It is better to concentrate first on your basic knowledge in the fist year of B.Com. When you learn more in the second year, your general awareness also increases. Side-by-side you should start solving objective questions of CAT and MAt all by yourself. By the end of Second year, your general awareness would have increased, and , when you start feeling that now your require specific practical guidance, then make a move to join an institute which prepares you for CAT and MAT. Before gaining a sound base in commerce, it is useless to ride simultaneously in two boats.
