Which books should I refer to get the best results in SET ? Which are the most important topics to focus?

Hi, SET is the entrance exam for Law courses in Symbiosis University. I do not think that there are books available in the market that deal specifically with SET. However, you can use the books available for CLAT while you are preparing for SET. If you have enrolled yourself in any coaching institute, the material provided by that coaching institute would be sufficient. If you go through the entire material, it would be more than enough. Apart from that, you can use books like Wren and Martin and Word Power Made Easy for English, Objective Lucent for GK, MK Pandey to cover both verbal as well as non-verbal reasoning. For legal, you can use Andhra Pradesh Bhardwaj. The important topics are comprehension part in English, Current affairs for the last 6 months for GK, Puzzles for Analytical Reasoning. However, all the subjects should be given equal importance to crack SET with a good rank.

For SET, that is Symbiosis Entrance Test that is one of the top private law colleges of India. For the preparation of SET, one can refer to any of the book which are designed for SET with which one is satisfied. If one is doing coaching for law entrance examinations, the study materials that the coaching institute provide are enough as they cover all the portions that are needed to be studied. SET covers five portions that are, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. All the portions consist of 30 questions of 1 mark each that is total of 150 questions. Here, the time limit is also 150 minutes. And the benefit is that there is no negative marking. So, one is advised to attempt and answer all the questions. And since all the portions carry equal marks, so all the topics need to be covered. And there is no such topic which needs less attention. If one skips any of the topic his chance for cracking SET would be very less. So focus on all the topics.
