    Above mention colleges are good, but I don't know about the placements, so let me provide you with the information I know, being LPU faculty, every year around 600+ companies visit LPU campus and select, similarly LPU school of mechanical engineering is one of the best. As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, the best laboratories, and modern technologies.     Apart from IIT, top colleges for Mechanical Engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc. Honestly I don't have idea about SRm University placements for mechanical Engineering, I would say Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in India.
