Because the university considers the scores of CAT/ MAT for selecting the students. If the seats get vacant, then only CMAT is considered.

You cannot get admissions into BTech CSE course at NSUT without JEE Mains scores. Because the JEE Mains scores are necessary for admissions to NSUT undergraduate engineering courses. Thus, one can only enroll in the programme if they have valid scores in the entrance examination.
