Hi,
I don't know much about the above-mentioned institutions however if you are looking for good options in Punjab you should definitely consider Chandigarh University. As a former understudy I would state that the university is well known for its exceptional performance in academics, placements and research. The placement session 2021-22 has been a dream run for Chandigarh University students as more than 8,000 students were placed along with the highest CTC of INR 1.7 crore per annum. The number of students placed during 2020-21 placements was 7,412. Chandigarh University is one of the best colleges for Computer Science Engineering in...more -
As per my knowledge, All the Universities are doing well at their own. A good university is the one where is good faculty, infrastructure, placements, events etc. By comparing these features you can take the decision. You can visit to websites of both or can visit to campus. One of my known is in LPU in the same course. Reviews are pretty good. But you need to be wise. Take your decision by yourself. Honestly speaking, the quality of education provided at any of the universities in India has been standardized by the autonomous body called University Grants Commission (UGC). At the end of second year students get an option to choose one...more

According to me, LPU is the best. Few valid facts make me strongly believe LPU is best. LPU is conferred with National Employability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row for having the Most Employable Students and being one of the top colleges and universities in India with one of the highest Employability rates. LPU is ranked 10th best Training and Placements Institutions in India for 2019 by The Knowledge Review. LPU provides a lot of options in engineering only. LPU is the best engineering college in India and provides everything that an engineering student requires to achieve quality education and placements.

Dear Swastik, Both MIT Pune and LPU Punjab are better institutes but I can share the information about the CSE programme at LPU only. I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good for LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. L...more

Both MIT, Pune and LPU, Punjab are good Universities in terms of B.Tech CSE programme with unique curriculum and placements. Based on my experience, I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Let me highlight what I have out figured: LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, t...more

LPU demands a 30% minimum mark on the Physical Education course end-term exam and an overall assessment of 40%, both continuous and end-term, which shall be accepted throughout the university for all PE programs with expected attendance of at least 75%. If students fail in their end-term but meet the overall aggregate of 40%, they may pass through a holistic review.
The Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) of LPU for the 2025 admissions into PE/sports programs was conducted in several schedules, with the latest being on August 26, 2025 (Schedule VI). For the year 2026, tentative dates start on April 16, running until August, in 6 phases. Please check the website for updates.
Fee structure for B.P.Ed. (2-year course) at LPU is ₹1.00-1.09 Lacs per year covering tuition fees (₹50,000/semester) + exam fees (~₹4,500/semester). The total cost of the programme is around ₹2-2.18 Lakh. Sports performers are given scholarships.
LPUPET or PET that refers to the Physical Efficiency Test of LPU is exercised offline. Fitness is evaluated through running, jumping, and sports drills that are not done online or on the campus premises.
LPU's Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET/PET) is in fact not an hour-long session with a fixed time allotment; rather, it is a combination of physical tasks conducted in succession sprinting for 50m, broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3 kg for men and 2 kg for women), and finally 1000m of run/walk. The time taken in doing the complete tasks varies with the fitness of the candidate, commonly taking from 20 to 45 minutes for a session. The candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts.
