Which college will be better for MBA: IILM, Noida or LPU or Chandigarh University or UPES, Dehradun?

Many students fall for the glitzy advertisements on placements, you need to go beyond that, you need to see the real factors which affect and improve the employability of students. What you need is correct education and relevant skills for life, not the one month placement interview classes which can help cracking the interview but after that in practical situations, you are lost because you didn't had enough practical exposure. You must compare on the parameters like: Curriculum development: Is the curriculum at the university upgraded with industry inputs. Teaching pedagogy : Your college must have experiential learning practices. More the practical, better it is. Infrastructure: To support the practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum Internships : For learning hands on the real time situations. Professional enhancement: The college must focus on the personality development, soft skills, interpersonal skills, work ethics etc. Student diversity: When the class comprises of people from diverse nationalities, students learn working in corporate, team work and cross cultural sensibilities. Faculty: High caliber and research oriented. Industry interface: There must be regular industry interactions, seminars, conferences, visits and mentor-ship programs. Entrepreneurship projects: The universities need to have design thinking, innovation and business incubation labs Placements: After all it boils down to placements, the university must attract god number of companies for recruitment and offer good salaries. Of Course! All the above institutes are fair enough but I want to say that I have completed my MBA from LPU and I believe that LPU would be better university among all the B schools as well as other ranked universities. I will share certain facts which would justify the same. 1. Accreditation: As LPU got accreditation from Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs, USA (ACBSP). Not only LPU is highly accredited but also it is having numerous international tie ups for instance university of North Alabama, Livingstone College etc. 2. Size: LPU is spread over 600 acres campus consisting of 3000+students and 3500+ faculty members and staff. Students are taking the admissions not from all over India but across the borders as well which make me feel that I am in a foreign land. 3. Ranking: LPU has following ranking: 1. Impact rankings 2021 2. National Employability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds 3. Outlook has ranked LPU as 5th among top 50 universities 4. Knowledge Review rated LPU as 10 th among Best training and Placement Institute 4. Infrastructure: LPU in itself a town as all the amenities a student could found at one place there is no need to move out of the campus. From Central Library to Hospital, Bank, ATMs, JIM facility, swimming pool. A student could enjoy his or her life in the best way. 5. Placements: LPU is having outstanding Placements record for the students. As every year not only national companies but also international ones are also hiring the LPU students for instance Amazon offers 30 Lacs package per annum. The Corporates which have visited the campus are Microsoft, Amazon, DBS Bank etc. 6. Faculty: LPU composed of the best faculty members from IIM, IITs and the other best B schools. 7. Chandigarh University: The highest CTC for MBA stream is 28 LPA while the average package offered to MBA students touched 7 LPA. Even before I answer to your question let me introduce myself I am an alumnae of LPU and had witnessed the overall system of education in there. The reason I say LPU is the BEST because in the process of Engineering the university also worked on my overall development. Whatever I am today is because of the training and learning I had it from there. The complete system of the university is as per the corporate model. If you are not choosing LPU for MBA, make sure you are into Iims or the deemed government business schools of India. Moreover, I would suggest you go through NIRF rankings 2020 for B-Schools and plan accordingly. LPU has been ranked 50th. Also, spending more money on colleges has nothing to do with the quality of education. It has to do with the quality of their infrastructure (for private colleges).
