Both the courses are good according to me, the only difference is that MBA is a degree course affiliated to the universities where the course is designed by the university & PGDM is a diploma course affiliated to AICTE, where the course are designed by the colleges. PGDM a industry aligned course where MBA is not. PGDM/MBA helps students to get knowledge about Financial Management, Accounts, Marketing, Research, Sales, HR Practices, Negotiation skills, Communication & analytical Skills and many more.
According to my experience I can say that PIBM, Pune is the college which provides everything mentioned above. PIBM aims is to provide a v

Both the courses are nice at PIBM. Many of my friends have done their MBA/PGDM from PIBM. And they only have praises for this B-school. As far as I know, they have unique training methods updated and designed as per the industry requirements. In both the courses, PIBM puts equal effort for students. But the only difference is MBA is affiliated with Pune University and while PGDM is AICTE approved.

    Hello Habila,
The basic difference between a PGDM programme and MBA is that the PGDM is offered by an institute while MBA can only be offered by a university. If you go for jobs, then most of the descriptions state "MBA or equivalent", here, PGDM is considered as equivalent to MBA (please check whether the college has accreditation and recognitions such as AIU. AIU recognised institutions provide MBA equivalent PGDM programs. The value of MBA is more in countries outside India. Further, before making a decision, please check the course details here:
