8 years agoYou should go for M.Tech followed by Ph.D, if you want yourself in academic career targeting engineering. B.Tech is equivalent to M.Sc. Thus, there are universities offering direct Ph.D in sciences. -
After your M.Tech, your entry cadre will be that of Assistant Professor. You can make a career progression to Associate Professor and Professor later on with experience if you have a Ph.D.
