Then you go for UPES if you consider education quality and placement because UPEs provide good quality education but only demerit has their fees structure if you manage the you can go for it.

For CSE, I would probably say, Chandigarh University is the better option available here. UPES is best options if you consider the petroleum branch. So, for CSE, go for CU.

Faculty and Infrastructure of UPES is better than Chandigarh University. The placements of both the colleges are good. So, you can opt for any one of these. The education quality comprises of the course curriculum, faculty, books availability, etc., which are definitely better in UPES.

Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.

The cutoff changes every year and we are in 2025, so you should know the cutoff for NCHMCT JEE 2025. For NCHMCT JEE 2025, the closing rank for Chandigarh University is around 11195 for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Hotel and Hospitality Management course. This number comes from the latest available round-wise data and gives a basic idea of the expected range. If we see older figures, the 2022 cutoff stayed close to 10201 as the opening rank in Round 1 and about 10382 as the closing rank in Round 2.
