In 16 years of career I've learnt that CS is no ordinary field! Highly dynamic and competitive. The syllabi needs to be updated continuously as you never know when the technologies can be rendered obsolete. So you must compare the colleges on the following relevant parameters. # Curriculum development: Is the curriculum at the university upgraded with industry inputs. # Teaching pedagogy : Your college must have experiential learning practices. More the practical, better it is. # Infrastructure: To support the practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum # Internships : For learning hands on the real time situations. # Professional enhancement: The college must focus on the personality development, soft skills, interpersonal skills, work ethics etc. # Student diversity: When the class comprises of people from diverse nationalities, students learn working in corporate, team work and cross cultural sensibilities. # Faculty: High caliber and research oriented. Industry interface: There must be regular industry interactions, seminars, conferences, visits and mentor-ship programs. # Entrepreneurship projects: The universities need to have design thinking, innovation and business incubation labs # Placements: After all it boils down to placements, the university must attract god number of companies for recruitment and offer good salaries. I can vouch for the fact that LPU has excelled in all of these parameters way beyond any other private university. Its attracting 30000 plus students from all over the world and 700 plus recruiters to campus for placements is unmatched and speaks for itself.
