    1- The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati was established in the year 1994 and Jadavpur University was established in the year 1955.
    2- The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati offers a Bachelor of Technology programme in 12 specializations, whereas Jadavpur University offers a Bachelor of Technology programme in 23 specializations.

    If you are getting B.Tech CSE in Jadavpur University then grab it, because JU is ranked 4th University by NIRF MHRD. Otherwise, go with IIT Guwahati for B.Tech EP.

    I would advice you to go for CSE/ETCE at JU. JU is an equally well known institution as IIT Guwahati, CSE/ETCE are also very well known departments in JU which offer opportunities not only in terms of placements but also in terms of further studies and research. Departments such as CSE, etc. E, Mechanical, EE, Chemical in JU are matched only by the four old IIT's in terms of reputation and should not be left in favor of relatively newer departments in new IIT's. If you at all want to study Physics I recommend you go to an institution like IISER's where the focus on the subject is more. Its generally better to concentrate on a core engi
