Automobile engineering is a branch of Mechanical engineering, where you'll deal mostly with automobile, whereas in Mechanical engineering, you'll deal with all machines and its design and then many more basics. But literally both are same, no big difference. All you've to do is a thorough study on the applications.

The best thing is that I suggest you is to take mechanical engineering as it has good placements than that of automobile engineering.

    Hello Manav,
Considering the job opportunities, both the fields offer almost same average package. If you have an undying passion for cars, then definitely go for Automobile branch. If you have an interest in the higher application of physics and like machines, chose Mechanical Engineering. At the end, choose what you really want to do.
Hope this helps! All the best!

Hello, whether it's Automobile or any other branch, duration for Diploma is three years after 10th board. However as per National Education Policy, once a student gets admission, after 12th board, once the students complete two years, they will be entitled to receive diploma. Then they can either leave the course or continue the same for one or two more years, they will be entitled for higher recognition.

Best wishes

Quantum University is good for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, especially if you want practical learning along with theory. From a student point of view, I feel the mechanical department is strong and the teachers are supportive.

The university has all the important mechanical labs like workshop lab, fluid mechanics lab, thermal lab, strength of material lab, and machine lab. In these labs we get to work on real machines, tools, engines, and different mechanical equipment. Teachers guide us step by step, so even difficult topics become easy to understand.

The course covers all the main subjects like thermodynamics, manufacturing process,
