B.Tech from LPU cannot actually be compared to any other institution in the country. Following points make it entirely a different experience altogether:
Large number of specializations within the streams. For example only CSE has about 8 specializations within its ambit. Large number of industry trainings like Github, MOOCs and many more. Huge diversity of students and faculty. The sheer number of people from different states and countries with highly competitive environment helps the students in getting used to work in cross cultural environment and team work, which is desired skill set in many companies. LPU is better in terms of academic prospects as compared to local universities in WB. Though, as an advice, if you are financially stable, do not prefer distance education at scale and if you are getting CSE in Techno India University then go for it. Else, LPU is better then TIU-Kolkata in all respects be it placements, infrastructure or curriculum.
