Dear Brijesh, LPU is a premier university of India with top placement records and world class infrastructure. As per the latest NIRF-2020 ranking, LPU is amongst top 100 institutes of India. As per my experience, LPU is the best option for Civil Engineering. There are ample of opportunities for Civil engineering graduates after passing out from LPU. 1. The starting package can be anything between 9 LPA to 45 LPA, depending upon your skills. 5. Brijesh, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Air Vistara, Cognizant, Dharm Consultant, Tech Mahendra, etc come for recruitment purpose. Most of the CE students are placed in good companies with high package. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. You should prefer Galgotias and then SRM. LPU is good for CS and IT.

Hi, I won't prefer you to opt for LPU other than for CSE as this is the branch it is known for. For any other thing, you won't be able to find any good thing other than infra. Placements of all the other branches are so worse that if you will see it once, then you won't pursue engineering at all.

Dear Brijesh, All are doing good. But being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of Civil Engineering at LPU only. The following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: - 1. Most of the faculty staff are from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also. 2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on the practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills. 3. There is an internship programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option. 4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can SEE actual construction work going on. Be prepared to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you. 5. You will get some courses from soft skills, English language, mental and analytical aptitude side. This sounds dull to you as of now. But you will feel its importance when you face an interview panel in a company during your placement drives. 6. They have very good placement records and good infrastructure companies visit their campus, L &amp; T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few. 7. Career oriented Software training in project labs is given. To work in this profession, you are supposed to be familiar with software like MS-Project, STAAD Pro, MX Road, etc. None the less, you will be trained in Auto CAD in your second year which is prerequisite for any Civil Engineer. 8. Every theory course is complemented with relevant lab-based practical work. Some of the labs are based on field testing where experimental work is to be done, e. g. Soil Lab &amp; Surveying Lab. I am sure Galgotia and SRM are good universities. As far as the Civil engineering programme at LPU is concerned, at LPU it is an engineering programme that articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental, Highway Engineering, Construction Management which are in sync with industry expectations. One needs an aggregate of 60 percent with PCM in class 12. There are professionally trained faculty at LPU who impart both theoretical and practical knowledge for the holistic development of the students. In addition to it, there is a dedicated department in LPU that looks into preparing students for placements. They train the students in verbal, analytical, and logical abilities. The university aims at bringing out the best in the student at the time of the interview. School of Civil Engineering offers Contemporary Curriculum, Professional Enhancement, Industry Immersion, Domestic &amp; International Projects, Regular Industrial Visit, Interdisciplinary Minors, Innovative Pedagogy.
