GMAT is conducted all year round and choosing an appropriate GMAT exam month is important based on:

    • Applicant's GMAT exam preparation
    • Date of admission application submission
    • Last date for GMAT score submission in the application
    • Buffer time to appear for GMAT and also retake GMAT in case of not meeting the desired cutoff

Keeping these pointers in mind will help applicants choose the best possible GMAT month to appear for the exam and also be able to nail it.

Depending on personal schedules and preparation levels, the optimal months to take the GMAT exam are often May through August or November through January. Many people find that taking the test between May and August gives them time to retake it if necessary and turn in their results before the September deadline for Round 1 MBA applications. For those aiming to meet the Round 2 deadlines, which are often in January, November to January can also be beneficial. Test-takers should pick a date that permits at least three months of concentrated preparation and take into account the busiest application seasons to prevent crowded testing faci

  • As such there is no particular preference for choosing the best month to appear for GMAT exam. It is up to the applicants to choose a relevant GMAT exam date based on their admission intakes abroad and regster accordingly. Those who wish to submit GMAT scores for Fall intake should register for July-August months. While those applying for Spring intakes can appear for the exam in September-December months. It is completely up to the students because they need time to prepare and select an apt GMAT exam date.

Hi.

GIBS considers any one valid score from these exams for shortlisting candidates.

Some exams (like CAT, XAT, CMAT) are preferred for national-level merit-based selection, but State CET scores are also accepted for Karnataka domicile candidates.

Along with the entrance score, academics, work experience, and performance in GD/PI are evaluated for final admission.
