Faculty and infrastructure are world class anyway at VJTI with some industry heads and gurus for guest lectures. VJTI is heritage and legacy brand and holds high esteem in rankings. Mechanic engineering has attracted nearly best placements. Average Package is 6 LPA. The packages are great with the highest package goes around 26LPA. Some top organizations like Siemens, Mercedes, Suzuki, Hyundai, DRDO, HAL, ABB, Ultratech Cement, Bharat Forge, Hindustan Copper, Bajaj, Havells, Philips, Tata Power, Samsung, Nokia, Aditya Birla, Reliance Oil and Gas and numerous others come to campus. The percentage rate is almost 100% for Mechanical engin

COEP is nowhere compared to VJTI, since it doesn't have 100% consistent record and average package is fairly lower.

COEP and VJTI are both good colleges and among the top most in Maharashtra. But among the two COEP is the winner. COEP has been ranked one in Maharashtra after the IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings COEP is ranked 24th while VJTI is not even in the top hundred in the list.
Last time COEP had 83.80 percent placement for mechanical while VJTI had 86.1 percent but quality of companies coming to COEP is better than at VJTI. Even average salary is better at COEP than VJTI.
Other than that COEP's racing team which generally consists of mechanical engineers has a legacy of winning BAJA SAE which is an All India Racing Competition. What I

COEP is the clear winner in terms of almost everything I can mention you of.
Starting from infrastructure to placements, Coep is either better or equivalent but not lesser by any means in comparison to Vjit.
    Infrastructure:
Coep has a lot better infrastructure in comparison to vjit and has a 165 years of rich history, while vjit has a history of 135 years only.
Faculty: the faculty at coep is a lot better than the faculty at vjit. The following instances prove the same:
    1. Two of the faculty members have earned a Masters degree from yale university usa ,and of them among them was a former google employee.
    2. One of them has earned a Ma
