    First of all, let me make it clear to my fellow students that VIT, Pune is indeed Vishwakarma Institute of Technology and not Vellore Institute of Technology. Now coming to the question, both of these colleges are pretty good in terms of the quality of education they provide. Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) was specially founded for imparting education in computer science and IT. It provides only three courses in B.Tech which are computer engineering, electronics and telecommunication and information technology while VIT provides degrees in almost all conventional branches.     Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is one of the best private engineering colleges and is looked forward to by a lot of students every year. The culture of the college, the popularity, and the location are some of the reasons why students prefer VIT-Vellore.
