Which of these is better: B.Tech in CSE from Lovely Professional University or BE in CSE from Chandigarh University (CU)?

Providing Quality education and quality placement is the responsibility and strength of every organisation but the fact is that it can't be provided by every university specifically young one because of lack of experience and exposure. You are right, I am talking about CU which got established 6 years ago can't compete with the quality offered by LPU. Addressing your query specifically in regards to pursuing CSE from Chandigarh University, I am not much aware what they are offering but I took overall feedback from the Alumni of CU where they showed a negative response in every aspect being its academic content, exposures and placements. Feedback was also taken from the students of LPU where they proudly highlighted that the Computer Science Engineering Programmes of LPU have been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. The stress is laid on developing analytical, communication and decision making skills of students. The students are encouraged to undertake assignments/project work from the industry and work towards finding possible solutions to integrate their theoretical knowledge with industrial practices. It is worth mentioning that LPU offers department electives in computer networks, artificial intelligence, databases and information systems as well as computer programming and algorithms. In addition to this, students are exposed too the fields like cloud computing, IoT, data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data and many more. In terms of placements, more than 550 companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies, Asahi India, Ceasefire etc. LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognizant, SAP, Microsoft etc. So that updated curriculum is provided. LPU is far better than CU. LPU is good in all perspectives whether it is teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. My lot of friends have done B.Tech, M.Tech from LPU and they have wonderful experience and they are doing great in their fields with handsome salary packages. LPU provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, etc. With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foreign universities. Placements are also good. CSE students got placement in Amazon with a package of 28 Lacs per annum. As per the last year record of LPU The average packages in CSE are from 4 to 10lakh per annum. LPU prepares student for placement by giving lot of extra inputs like personality development class, soft skills class etc. I believe that you should visit LPU campus or you can contact from the website.

Both the university shares a large diversity being a part of the same state and very closely established to each other. Both universities have an active participation in their fests and cultural events though they both have a large difference in their curriculum and academics. There is no doubt that LPU is better than Chandigarh University in all respects. The cultural diversity, quality of students, infrastructure, placements statistics and pool of faculty is far better in LPU. According to me, a person should be well educated and in this parameter, LPU succeeds so no doubt it will provide with more opportunity of placements. The fact should be ignored that CU is also working hard to get up to that level and a good and hardworking pool of minds can be seen there too.
