Which of these is better: BE in CSE from RVCE or B.Tech in CSE from MIT Manipal?

Tuition fees at Manipal is very high. Than RVCE. RVCE's CSE is about 8-9. LPA. MIT's CSE AVG package is 4-5 LPA. For CSE, RVCE would be good.

According to me, BE in CSE from RVCE, Bangalore is better than CSE from MIT Manipal University. Now, let's take a look at the reason as why RVCE is better than MIT: 1. Fee structure of Manipal University of doing B.Tech in CSE would cost around 13 lakhs whereas fee structure of RVCE is around 6.8 lakhs in don't BE in CSE. As you can see, there is a complete difference of about 6 lakhs. 2. College experience in terms of INFRASTRUCTURE and facilities, RVCE is better than MIT. 3. Due to the location of RVCE, there is a greater chance to get off-campus job. 4. Ranking given by 'the week' RVCE is better than MIT as RVCE stands 35 and MIT stands at 36. 5. There are more amount of companies coming for placement in The RVCE than MIT very frequently. In MIT: Deloitte | Ericsson India | IBM | Polaris | Reliance | Samsung In RVCE: Adobe | Comm Vault Systems | Cybage | DE Shaw | Dell | Directi | Ernst & Young | Factset | Flipkart | Goldman Sachs | Google | HP | IBM | IGATE | Informatica | Infosys | Infotech | L&T Technology | Microsoft | Mind Tree | Motorola | Mphasis | Nestle | NTT Data | Wipro 6. As average salary offered by both the colleges is about the same, it is 10 lakhs per annum. Hope it helps.

This is one question where I have no doubt before saying that RVCE is better than MIT-Manipal by every means you can possibly think of. Here, I will list the advantages you get if you take admission in RVCE, instead of MIT-Manipal. 1. RVCE is the top private college in Bangalore or the college under ComedK authority. 2. The college has the strategical advantage of being located in Bangalore by which it manages to attract a lot of corporate and core companies. 3. The average placement package offered for computer science branch at RVCE-Bangalore is 8-9 LPA while the same at MIT-Manipal is 4-5 LPA. 4. The amount of money you need to pay as the tuition fee is much less than what you will have to pay at MIT-Manipal. 5. More number of core companies come to RVCE than MIT. 6. The total batch placement of computer science branch at RVCE is 95% while the same at MIT is 4-5 LPA (that too by mass recruiters like TCS, COGNIZANT and INFOSYS). I hope this answer helps you. Starting from the rankings, Manipal Institute of Technology and RVCE Bangalore are very close to each other according to several surveyors in India. But Manipal Institute of Technology has been ranked in top 1000 engineering colleges all over the world by QS world rankings i.e. it is the only private engineering college of India to reach this landmark. From academics point of view, the college is provided with hardcore facilities of specific subjects, mostly doctorates from IITs. All kinds of labs are available here along with guest lectures by experts. Campus gives opportunity for industrial training and internship abroad as well. There is also an opportunity available to students to do a semester abroad in a top college. Placement here in Manipal Institute of Technology is very good. Top companies like Microsoft, LT, Wipro, etc. recruit students from this branch. Great alumni – Mr. Satya Nadella is the CEO of Microsoft and Mr. Rajiv Suri is the CEO of Nokia. There are several others like them. Infrastructure is awesome as this college is situated on hill top of Manipal.

Hi, The answer to your question involves multiple dynamics and it is not possible to answer it in terms of a single factor. So, I'll try to include multiple factors for you to understand it better. Faculty: Both the colleges have equally knowledgeable faculty. However, professors in RVCE are inclined towards research. This is the reason why you would see multiple patents coming out of the department. Also, CISCO has established COE (Center of Excellence) within the college wherein the company supports students innovations and fund their projects. Infrastructure: Both the colleges have multiple labs. RVCE has an added advantage of particular labs set up by companies like Nvidia which provides excellence in the specific domain. Placements: Placement is something that every student is concerned about more than anything else. Well, both the colleges have equally good placements. RVCE-CSE current semester placements boast the package of 25 LPA and still counting. These are offered by top giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Walmart Labs, Mckinsey & Co., etc. While both the colleges are equally good in terms of placements, I would suggest you go for RVCE if you are planning to go for Master's degree right after college.
