Both UGC (University Grants Commission) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) are important bodies in India. They both work under the government and have different roles:

    • UGC approves universities and makes sure they follow good academic standards.

    • AICTE approves technical and professional courses like engineering, management, etc.

When it comes to MBA-HR (Human Resource Management), both UGC and AICTE-approved colleges can offer good education. But what matters more is the quality of the university, its faculty, placements, industry exposure, and learning environment.

UGC in higher education is different than that served by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)

UGC regulates the universities and gives their recognition, AICTE doesall technical education in India in order to maintain quality standards of professional courses

Since an MBA is under the category of university education and not technical education, UGC approval is must for MBA in HR from Lovely Professional University (LPU)

As LPU is UGC recognised university so MBA degree from this university is eligible for both Govt sector job and Private sector job Also normally standalone management institutions require AICTE approval, but

AICTE is All India Council For Technical Education and UGC is University Grant Commision.
Both are government bodies where AICTE checks the standards of technical education, whereas UGC, checks the norms whether followed or not by the university. If you want to do MBA, you should then go for UGC.
