Which one is better for CSE among IEM-Kolkata and LPU?

LPU is known for its B.Tech. On CSE programme. When I say known for, I am considering 23 pointers including placements, curriculum and infrastructural facilities. Lets look at them one by one - Curriculum: LPU has an industry centered curriculum. The specializations offered under this programme are relevant as per the latest industry trends. Some of them include Big Data, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and Data Analysis. While the basics of CSE are taught in each specialisation over time, you can select which field you want to specialist in and focus your energy on it. You can also select the programme beforehand when you are selecting the programme. The curriculum includes a lot of training sessions and certifications. The university has tied up with 200+ industry giants including Google, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle and VMWare. These organisations keep organizing various sessions and certification classes with the students of CSE. There are industry experts visiting the university for lectures along with full time faculty available to guide and mentor the kids. Regular guest lectures and seminars are also held. Students are given the opportunity to explore and practice what they learn. A lot of emphasis is given to practical and hands-on training. There are also live projects where students put their knowledge to use in real life situations. Infrastructure LPU has a vast 600+acre campus with hostel facilities. It has hi-tech laboratories, well-equipped classrooms and well-stacked libraries. The entire infrastructure supports the learning cycle of the students. Placements LPU is known for its placements. Dear Vijay, I am not aware of the CSE programme at IEM-Kolkata but can tell you the information about the CSE at LPU. I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good for LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the programme. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries that help students to explore themselves more in their field such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrade, etc. Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, etc. Apart from this, many opportunities and scholarships are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics and extracurricular activities. I am not in cognizance of IEM Kolkata but I would like to share my thoughts on LPU: 1 Placements :Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. DURING PANDEMIC THE PLACEMENT 2020-2021 Work India has offered 35 Lacs Per annum (CSE) 2. Accreditation : Every year, more than 30,000 students graduate from LPU across all disciplines. Accredited by most technical bodies such as UGC, NCTE, PCI, IAP, COA, BCI, and AIU, LPU has covered massive ground since being founded back in 2005. Already amongst the top private colleges students keep on their checklist, the potential for LPU to grow further seems apparent. 3. Faculty: LPU composed of the best faculty members from IIM, IITs and the other best B schools. It has produced perfectly efficient computer engineers in the past couple of years who have eventually landed salary packages as high as 42 LPA! 4. Though all the institutes are good in terms of academics but let me take LPU as an example being an alumni. The students of LPU has been placed in the top companies with high salary packages. Hi, B.Tech CSE is not an ordinary programme! It requires a lot and lots of infrastructure and industry input to run successfully. Since the speed of changes in technology is breakneck, the universities need to be highly dynamic in nature to adjust their curriculum as per requirements almost continuously. There is an only a private university that can actually say that it has excelled in curriculum development, industry interface, diversity, professional enhancement, community development exposure, entrepreneurship exposure, technology training, infrastructure, and teaching pedagogy, and that is LPU. More than 700 faculty members are PhDs and Postdoctoral, and they provide exposure to students, which is unmatched. Coming to placements, the stellar record of LPU in placements is unmatched because of its efforts on curriculum development and delivery, industry interface, professional enhancement, and diversity of students; over 600 companies visit the campus for recruitment every year. None of the private universities can match LPU in any of the parameters, actually! Recent NIRF and ATAL rankings by the Government of India are proof enough!
