Hi there, Every university has its own perks and nice placements and it sometimes depends more on the student rather than the university because the university can only provide opportunity but it is your duty to grab it. Also, LPU gives a lot of opportunities. The placements have always been great and growing at LPU because of the fact that LPU invests in making the students professionals and transforming them. By the current scenario as am witnessing, my seniors have been placed before their graduation with a very handsome package of 12LPA as of those which I know. 800+ Recruiters hire LPU students

Both Lovely Professional University (LPU) and Chandigarh University (CU) boast very good placement records, with more than 90% of their graduates getting placed with top corporates such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, and Cognizant. LPU in recent years has seen a slightly higher the highest package. LPU is also unique for the number of recruiters (more than 2,225 in 2025) and number of job offers, including international postings with up to INR 3 crore salary per year. Both universities have good placement support, but if you desire maximum salary potential and the greatest variety of recruiters, LPU is slightly better in p

There is no doubt in this that placements of Chandigarh University are the best and unbeatable. Both universities are good, but if we talk about placements, Lovely Professional University (LPU) is slightly ahead. LPU has tie-ups with many big national and international companies. Students from different branches get placed in top brands like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Capgemini, and many more. Some students even get international placement offers with high packages. LPU has its own placement cell which is very active and always brings good opportunities for students. Many times LPU students have received one of the highest packages in North India. Also, LPU conducts placement drives regularly and invites companies a

Chandigarh University has a strong placement record with companies visiting from various sectors such as IT, engineering, management, and core industries. The placement cell called DCPD works actively with students, conducting training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude preparation. For engineering and management, top recruiters offer competitive packages, and many students receive multiple offers. The university's tie-ups with national and international companies also increase placement chances. Its record includes placements with multinational corporations, startups, and established Indian firms. The high number of visiting recr

If we're talking purely about placements, I'd personally vouch for Chandigarh University, especially because of how focused each department is when it comes to preparing students. I've seen it first-hand in the CSE department — they start with coding practice, mock interviews, resume building, and aptitude training really early, which honestly helps a lot when placement season kicks in.

What I found different is how Chandigarh University doesn't treat placements as a one-size-fits-all thing. They design training based on what your field actually needs. For tech, you get coding bootcamps, industry certifications, and regula

If placements are your top priority, Chandigarh University is a great choice for students who want strong career outcomes after graduation. The university doesn't just focus on academics—it actively prepares students for the real job market through a well-structured training and placement program.

From the first year itself, students are given access to personality development sessions, communication skill training, aptitude preparation, and coding practice—all of which are crucial during recruitment drives. CU also has a dedicated team that works closely with top companies to ensure students get placement opportunities that match t

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way

Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
