BHU has good facilities but Allahabad city gives you environment of civil service not Allahabad university. I have also cleared the BHU BA SOCIAL SCIENCE EXAM this year (2017) and secured 217 rank (219/450) & Allahabad (195/300) I have been selected in both but I am going BHU. -

In both the university, your focus should be on choosing the one which offers best faculty and subject understanding in parallel with the UPSC syllabus. Both Allahabad & BHU are good universities and have produced a large number of civil servants in the country. So, you should weigh your option accordingly taking into consideration your mains optional as well.
