Which will be a better option among BE & B.Sc if I want to go for UPSC in future? Is there any dependency of UPSC on the graduation subject?

6 years agoPreparation for UPSC always needs extra preparation than the curriculum as the syllabus includes many fields, so complete your graduation with good scores and B.Sc is a better course to pursue. -
Most of the questions asked in UPSC exam are based on history, geography, economics and political science. So you can both BE and B.Sc. But you need to have a good knowledge of these too. If you are asking to choose between these two BE and B.Sc then I would suggest you to go for B.Sc. Both are providing graduation degree but BE is 4 years and B.Sc is of 3 years. This way you can save your one year to focus on UPSC preparation. -
If you are preparing for UPSC, there are 4 subjects which are compulsory. Read history, geography, economics & political science. So, I suggest you to do BA. -

There is no one track formula to crack the UPSC examination. No course or subject can get you sure short success in this examination. Be it B.Sc or B.Tech, both of them have different advantages, which in no way will determine your success at this examination. Both of the courses will be teaching you science subjects, which you may or may not take as an option while going for the examination. Most of the students opt for arts subjects when it comes to mains stage, and even the prelims is heavily based on arts/humanities subjects.
