    Lady Hardinge Medical College affiliated with Delhi University is famous for many reasons. It is a pioneer in medical education and one of the oldest medical colleges in India. Namely, it was the first women's medical college in India, which was established exclusively for the training of female students. The college was founded by Lady Hardinge of Penhurst, wife of the then Viceroy of India, to overcome dominant orthodox tendencies against the education of daughters in common schools. No, students of commerce background can't directly secure admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC). You must have cleared the 10+2 level exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English as the compulsory subject. You must obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% SC/ST, 45% OBC). Admission to the MBBS programme is on the basis of NEET UG score.
