Computer animation is advancing at a very rapid scale with strong opportunities because of boom in media industry & outsourcing. Many IT giants like Tata, Reliance etc. have already ventured into it, while others are having plans to foray into this sector on large sacle. Even Companies like Disney, Prime Focus, Rhythm & Hues, Technicolor, Toonz, DQ, Nipuna etc have their established set-ups in India. Internet and computers are becoming such an essential part of living today, animation and multimedia professionals are more and more sought after. Recruiters include Animation Studios, Production Houses,TV Advertising Co's, Architectural Visualization Co's, Movie Makers(Animation & Bollywood),TV Channels, E-learning Co's,Internet Co's, Mobile & Console Gaming Co’s, Medical-Legal-Insurance Co’s. Animators also work freelance and work is mostly awarded based on skills and capabilities exhibited by you. After BTech you may look for PG from IDC at IIT,Powai /NID. First check if you're suited for Animation. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this. Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose.
