Anthropological Survey of India is the major recruiter for anthropologists in the country both at the centre and at the state levels as well. There are also many government research institutes which employ anthropologists in India. One has the option to making it to organizations such as WHO, UNESCO and UNICEF. Sectors such as art galleries, curators, publishing houses, NGOs, archives, museums, libraries, etc. are also options where one can think of start working.
Sociologist can work in research institutes, the criminal justice system, public health and welfare organizations, private business, government, and international agencies

Listed below are some of the differences :
    Sociology
    1. Based on what is society, and how does it shape and reflect human nature?
    2. Quantitative methodology (survey & sampling) - viewed as a harder social science
    3. Macro-level focus - studies how the larger society and social trends affect individuals, families, and communities
    Anthropology
    1. Based on what does it mean to be human? How do humans behave and why?
    2. Qualitative methodology (ethnography) - viewed as a softer social science
    3. Micro-level focus - studies how individuals, families, and communities engage with the larger society and social trends

    HI ALL,
Sociology uses a more positivist, data-driven approach to arrive at quantifiable conclusions and trends.
Anthropology seeks to give substance to the narrative of a culture's identity and context. Literally" the study of people."

Anthropology is a social science that is concerned with human culture as well as the physical and social characteristics that create that culture. Often it will compare one group of humans to another or even compare humans with animals.
Sociology is a social science that studies the functionality of human society including origins, development, and organization. It will also look at these attributes inside institutions and organizations.
