    Dear Veronica
History should be taken as a subject where we get to read stories with facts.
when its a story its easy to corelate things around and develop interest.
When i was in class 9th i had the same understand like history is about time lines, wars and dates.
but now when i am working and i find history is quite interesting topic.
All i want to say is start reading topics online: for example wikipedia it has every thing which will not only cover your class 11 topic/syllabus but also help you exlore the world.
    Hope this helps.
