For BHMCT, MAH HM CET score is considered for admission. MAH HM CET is a computer-based test and is held in selected cities within Maharashtra State.

Merit-based admissions are used at the Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The qualifying exam results from the previous year are used to determine admission to the B.Sc. and Certification program. The minimum score of 50% (45% for Maharashtra Domicile reserved categories) in the 10+2 or HSC administered by MSBSHSE is required for admission to the B.Sc. and Certification program.
