Eternal University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Besides, the university also accepts JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Eternal University conducts an entrance exam for admission to BSc Nursing, BSc Agriculture, BTech Food Technology and all PhD courses. The university conducts personal interview for admission to a few courses.

Admissions are based on the following criteria:
10+2 or intermediate examination: 50% aggregate marks in any stream
MA: 50% marks in a BA degree in a relevant specialization
