Gondwana University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university considers entrance exams such as MAH CET, MHT CET, CAT, MAT, JEE Main, etc. for admission to BE, MBA, BPharm and other courses. The merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam is considered for BCom, MCom, BCA, BBA, etc. Once selected, the university releases a merit list on the university website.

For undergraduate (UG) courses, admission is based on merit.

For postgraduate (PG) courses, admission is based on merit or an entrance exam.

Students who have completed the PGDCS&A course at Gondwana University or RTM Nagpur University can enroll directly to MCA II (Sem I). This is subject to other AICTE norms and seat availability.

The university's PhD Entrance Exam (PET) consists of a written exam and an interview. To pass the PET, you must score at least 50% in aggregate
