Are admissions at IISER Tirupati - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research entrance-based or merit-based?

<p>The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER Tirupati) accepts applications solely on the basis of entrance. For admissions, the institute takes JEE Advanced ranks into account.</p><p><strong>IISER Aptitude Test (IAT):&nbsp;</strong>Another&nbsp;way for students to apply for admission to IISERs is through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), a centralized exam. For admissions, the institute takes IAT scores into account.</p><p><strong>KVPY Fellowship: </strong>Those who are awarded a KVPY fellowship are eligible to apply for admission to IISER Tirupati. KVPY fellows are eligible for direct admission to the institute.</p><p>The institute does not consider merit-based factors such as Class 12th board exam scores directly for admissions. However, academic performance is considered as part of the holistic assessment of candidates during the interview process.</p>
