Are admissions at Jain Deemed-to-be University, Faculty of Engineering and Technology entrance-based or merit-based?

I've had a really good experience with the mechanical engineering faculty at Chandigarh University. Most of them are PhD holders, so you can tell they know their subject inside out. What I like is that they're not just teaching from books—they share real-world examples, guide us in labs, and help with projects. The faculty is approachable, so if you ever get stuck on something, you can just ask, and they'll explain patiently. They also encourage students to explore electives like Thermal & Energy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or Design & Robotics, and help you pick what suits your career goals. 

Plus, with all the collaborations with companies like Honda, Hyundai, and Mahindra, the professors make sure we're prepared for actual industry challenges. Honestly, having such experienced faculty makes studying mechanical engineering here feel very practical and rewarding.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Agra College, as part of Agra College, has a rich history with many notable alumni. While specific prominent alumni exclusively from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology are not extensively highlighted, the broader Agra College has produced distinguished personalities like Chaudhary Charan Singh (former Prime Minister of India), Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma (former President of India), Ajit Doval (current National Security Advisor), and Motilal Nehru. Many alumni have also achieved success in various industries and academic fields, with some reaching senior management or engineering positions in companies like Infosys, Dell, and Tata Motors.
