Are admissions at National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology srinagar entrance-based or merit-based?

<p>Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, is an autonomous body which is controlled by the ministry of Information and technology of the Government of India. They have campuses at more than 41 locations across India. Being an autonomous body it is authorised to grant certificates of some of the courses that it conducts. However for some courses these institutes or affiliated to the local government university and then that University intern issues the certificate to the students. Now while taking admission for the courses for which this Institute is affiliated to the universities and entrance exam is conducted twice in a year normally in the months of January and July. Admissions there after our based on the merit of the students in this entrance examination.
