Are admissions guaranteed if I meet the BIT MCA cutoff?

If there is a tie in the exam, the institute typically follows a tie-breaking rule-

• The candidate with higher marks in Math is ranked higher.
• If a tie persists marks in Analytical Ability will be considered
• Lastly the age of the candidate will be considered. Older candidates are given priority.

Admission to BIT MCA is based on the merit list. Some reports suggest a minimum qualifying score of 35 out of 100 is needed to enter the merit list.

In the BIT MCA proctored written test,  Computer Fundamentals is the largest section, accounting for 50% of the total questions (50 out of 100).

The shortlisted candidates must appear for an online interview. The interview will carry 100 marks. The minimum cutoff is 40 marks.
