Are aeronautical engineering and aerospace engineering the same? Is aeronautical engineering advisable for a bright future?

Hello Jayandra, If the candidates have set their eyes on the field of aircraft designing then it is better to take up aeronautical engineering as it provides profound knowledge regarding the flying of an aircraft. If the candidate is very much interested in the space research and related topics like spacecraft and aircraft then it is an excellent option to pursue aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering deals with the study of the law of thermodynamics in the outer space. These are quite different from the laws that are applicable in the earth's atmosphere. The course in aerospace engineering is not very useful in countries where they do not have a space research institute or organisations as these institutes are responsible for the manufacturing of space arms and spacecraft. Aeronautical is a common engineering course that is available in almost all the major universities across the world. Aerospace engineering in LPU is a course that is designed for learners who intend to design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles. In addition, these engineers test prototypes to make sure that they function according to plans. These professionals also design components and sub-assemblies for these craft like engines, air-frames, wings. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. Are an integral part of the curriculum. So far the companies that have visited the campus in 2021 are CODE NATION CHEGG INDIA PVT LTD DATAMARK INCORPORATED CAPGEMINI INDIA PVT. LTD. Only 5-10 people have got placements from college and more than 5 were placed in IT jobs. The highest package offered maybe of 7 lacs as far as I know. Not more than 20 percent got internships from the college last year.
