Are all sections compulsory to clear in CAT exam? How much do I need to score in each section to clear it?

Hello, In CAT exam, there is Sectional cutoff for all the three sections which is around 70 percentile for OPEN Category and around 60 for others along with a overall cut-off of 80 percentile. For top three Iims, you would get call for more than 99.5 percentile only, if you are general engineer ma

According to IIM-Ahmedabad, the shortlistings criteria is 27% of the seats are reserved for NC-OBC. Note: Creamy OBC candidates are considered similar to general category. For Non-Creamy OBC, you can get a call from A, B and C at 98 percentile & all other top B-Schools after scoring 96 percentile

CAT provide you with overall score with sectional scores too. Some colleges accept these scores while some does not. It depends upon college to college.
