Are associate degree and Diploma the same? I'm studying Diploma in computer engineering.

    No, both associate degree and Diploma courses are different from each other. Because
    1- A Diploma can be said to be a document awarded to a student after the completion of a course. On the other hand, an Associate degree is a title conferred on a student when he completes a college studies.
    2- A student who pursues an Associate degree has to study more broadly when compared to a student who takes a Diploma course, which is subject-centric.
    3- A Diploma is usually given in vocational or professional courses, like design, pharmacy, and engineering.

    No, both an associate degree and Diploma have slight differences. An associate degree is a kind of university degree but of shorter duration than a regular Bachelor's degree. On the other hand, a Diploma is a kind of Certificate awarded for completing a specific course. The main difference is in the duration and nature of the recognition Certificate awarded. For instance, a Diploma in Computer Engineering is typically a two-semester programme at most of the institutes, like Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.
