No, candidates must carry a coloured printout of the GATE admit card on an A4-sized sheet. It will help the staff of the exam centre verify candidates with his/her picture. The GATE hall ticket is a necessary document that must be carried in the examination hall for verification along with the original and valid photo identity document (no photocopy / scanned copy / an expired document), which was specified during the filling up of the online application.
