    Hi,
From the employment perspective, distance learning courses do not add much of a value in securing a well-paying job, however it is likely to give you a push in the current employment if the employer is in sync with the certifications or diploma you plan to pursue and if it adds any value to advance to the next level in your domain of work. However, it definitely adds on to the knowledge base in a particular area of field and gives you leverage over your peers.

DEC-approved programs can lead to job placement just as a traditional degree can. Students from traditional programs should make sure that programs are accredited by the appropriate institution or council just as distance education students do.
