Are class 12 board toppers allowed to participate directly in the BITSAT counselling?

    Yes, is the response! Seats at BITS are set aside for top scorers in higher secondary exams from state and national education boards, such as ICSE and CBSE. A seat in BITS will be reserved under your name if you do well on the high school entrance exams, such as the UP Board. Direct admission to BITS campuses will be granted to the candidate who achieved the highest ranking (Board topper) in PCM in their respective board. For toppers to be eligible for admissions, candidates must meet the BITSAT eligibility requirements.

  • Yes. Students who are 12th standard board toppers will be eligible to participate for BITS direct admissions. However, these candidates will be required to meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission into the BE courses offered by the BITS campuses. 12th standard board toppers will not be required to attempt BITSAT but will be considered for admission based on their board exam scores.
