    Hello! Yes, many colleges across India nowadays conduct group (or case) discussions as a way of evaluating candidates during the admission process. A GD evaluates various personality traits such as clarity of thought, listening skills, ability to critically evaluate and to interact in a group.

    Some colleges have Group Discussion as mandatory selection process in their admission and in actual life. If you go for any interview, they can have this round. So, prepare and work hard on your fear and anxiety, you can face during GD.

    Yes, it is a admission criteria part in B-School. After giving a written, the second important part is to screening a student through GD followed by personal interview.

    Group Discussion (GD) is one of the major parts in second stage of selection process at many top B-schools. Group Discussion, evaluates personality traits such as clarity of thought, communication including listening skills, ability to critically evaluate and ability to interact in a group. The objective of a group discussion is to appraise a candidates ability to critically analyse a given piece of information and collectively work in a group to arrive at a solution or develop a perspective.
