Are Guwahati University placements good?

According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) report 2023, a total of 569 out of 2,386 undergraduate and postgraduate students were placed during Guwahati University placements in 2022. The median package offered to Undergraduate (3-year) and Postgraduate (1-year) students was INR 3.50 Lacs Per Annum and INR 4.80 Lacs Per Annum during placements in 2022. An increase of nearly 8 percent has been observed in the median package offered to undergraduate (3-year) students during placements in 2022 when compared to 2021. An increase of 60 percent has been observed in the median package offered to Postgraduate (2-year) students during placements in 2022 when compared to 2021. The median package offered to UG (3-year) students was INR 3.50 LPA during placements 2022. An increase of 8% has been observed when compared to 2021. An increasing trend has been observed in the median package offered to UG (3-year) students in the last three years I. e. , 2020 vs 2021 vs 2022.
