Are hotel management and B.Sc in hotel management the same courses? Which one is better if I want to become a chef?

Hi,North India I would like to suggest you for LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY JALANDHAR PUNJAB. They offer versatility in their courses of hospitality and catering technology. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Multi story word class kitchen infrastructure and lavishing hotel inside the campus for the daily practice of there students. Totally vegetarian restaurant where students practice to cook only a vegetarian cuisine. At LPU these courses are meant for students who are looking for specialised hospitality degree with global recognition that can lead to the leadership. Although, this year LPU has relaxed their eligibility where they have exempted the candidates from LPUNEST exam. Those who are willing to take admission in the university, can take a direct admission now without qualifying entrance exam conducted by the University still a candidate must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the 12th class and English must be studied as a subject. Best thing of the LPU is that they very good Industry Tie-ups which results in usual guest lectures by an Industry Experts. Students work on various Projects in collaboration with Industry. If you are studying at LPU placements are not at all a problem because they say "we provide 100% placements to those candidates who are eligible for aspiring for the placements". Hello Sudhanshu, Both are of same genre, the only difference is the gestation period of the degree. B.Sc Hotel Management is of 3 years duration whereas BHMCT (Bachelors of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) is of 4 years duration. First of all, I would like to congratulate you that you have chosen your career which will be going to bring a bread and butter for you for rest of your life. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Usually according to the norms of UGC this degree is of 4 years duration that means 8 semesters will be there. Now the question arises from where does degree should have to be pursue, although the choice is totally in your hands and you should compare will try to pursue this degree from any of the school of hospitality and management.
