Just that the difficulty level for CAT will be much higher and IBPS is relatively easy to crack as compared to CAT.
The topics are almost the same.

    Hi,
There is a lot of similarity in IBPS exam and CAT Exam. If you are preparing for CAT exam, then you can give all other bank exams.
The bulk of the syllabus for banking and CAT exams consists of:
    1. Quantitative aptitude.
    2. Logical reasoning.
    3. Data interpretation.
    4. Verbal reasoning.
    5. Critical reasoning.
    6. Verbal aptitude.
    7. Reading comprehension.
The extra bit in some of the banking exams are:
    1. General awareness.
    2. Computer awareness.
    3. Banking awareness.
    4. Marketing aptitude.
