Are M.Tech Distance Education and Part Time M.Tech the same thing?

<p>There is a lot of confusion among students regarding distance M.Tech learning and part time M.Tech courses for working professionals. To make things easy, the basic difference between the two is that <strong>distance M.Tech courses are completely invalid in India</strong> as they are not approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC because of multiple reasons. One basic reason is&nbsp;<strong>zero practical exposure</strong>. Technical programs like M.Tech are meant for the professional world and need technical expertise and advanced skills which is not possible in the remote-learning mode. Secondly, &nbsp;<strong>there is no lab assistance possible in M.Tech courses in the online mode.</strong></p><p><strong>Part Time M.Tech courses</strong><strong>, </strong>on the other hand, <strong>are considered valid if they are approved by the AICTE and UGC and are designed especially for working professionals</strong><strong> </strong>who want to gain more skills while doing their jobs and enhance their career prospects. The classes usually take place over the weekends or holidays in the college campus itself to accommodate their working schedule. There are no online classes available here.</p>
